Since 2019, the Freiburg, Germany-based rainforest conservation association AmaSelva e.V. has been supporting the Selva Viva project financially and with in-kind donations. We are a team of passionate rainforest conservationists, and some members have already experienced Selva Viva firsthand. A drone donated in 2021 regularly flies over the treetops of Selva Viva to monitor the area and has already proven invaluable in detecting illegal logging and, in recent years, illegal gold mines. AmaSelva assists in equipping the forest rangers with items such as work clothes, waterproof backpacks, binoculars, headlamps, and smartphones. The surveillance cameras donated by AmaSelva contribute to wildlife monitoring, and occasionally a poacher is caught on camera. We hope that this magnificent rainforest will be preserved for the long term and that we can continue to contribute to its preservation.
