Mission

The protection of the rainforest encompasses all its flora and fauna. The purchased land comes exclusively from former settlers and not from Indigenous people. SelvaViva Ecuador currently actively protects these properties with three forest rangers. The foundation is also committed to the sustainable protection of the rights of the Indigenous population through education, training in sustainable rainforest management, environmental education, and more. It is a founding member of Red de Bosques (CORPEC), an association of private forest owners who voluntarily protect or have placed their forests under protection.
